IV Medication Safety and Administration

Pharmacy technicians are tasked with preparing and delivering IV medications without clinical understanding on the patient safety and medication efficacy considerations that are used to determine administration techniques. They would benefit from education materials that could highlight the differences in each administration method, the advantages and disadvantages of each method, and the clinical considerations that help dictate those decisions.
