Learning Objectives
- Understanding of crisis scenarios to intervene effectively and safely, while maintaining personal safety.
- Apply clinical skills to crisis situations to provide appropriate clinical support, resource exploration and referrals.
- Understand effective strategies to de-escalate and communicate with a trauma informed lens during crises.
- Learn safety and crisis intervention strategies which help their ability to provide appropriate, timely intervention to patients and families in crisis.
- Discuss the roles of team members during crisis situations and will provide information on transforming practice skills into organizational policies that promote and maintain personal safety and trauma-informed care.
