Cardiac Education Day, 4.29.25

April 29, 2025

RN and LPN inpatient staff members currently have a baseline knowledge of the inpatient cardiac population, but NDNQI quality measures, average length of stay, HCAHPS reports, and incident reports indicate that ongoing education is needed. Information from key stakeholders on the cardiac departments state that additional cardiac specific learning is needed. The gap identified include knowledge, practice, and skill. Numerous changes have occurred over the past year in the cardiac service department which require education reinforcement to continue to provide high quality patient care and the best patient outcomes.
