This class will prepare the participant to successfully pass the TCRN certification.
Target Audience
RN who care for trauma patients
Learning Objectives
The participant will have an understanding of the TCRN test design and questions related to trauma patient care.
The participant will be able to identify the key components of shock in a trauma patient and nursing assessment and interventions to care for a trauma patient in shock.
The participant will discuss the continuum of care when caring for trauma patients.
The participant will discuss the nursing assessment of an orthopedic trauma patient and compartment syndrome.
The participant will identify changes in neuro status and nursing interventions with a trauma patient with neuro and spine trauma.
The participant will discuss the nursing assessment of a pregnant, geriatric, pediatric and bariatric trauma patient.
