This course was developed because there is a lack of knowledge regarding physiology for heart transplant, transplant medications/hazardous medication safety concerns, and pediatric leveling for transplant listing.

After completing this course, the learner will be able to:
- identify types of congenital and acquired heart disease resulting in the need for a pediatric heart transplant.
- describe common nursing care and protection associated with pediatric heart transplant medications
