Enduring Materials Accreditation Period

Enduring Materials training can remain active for up to three years and must either be retired or renewed.

Course Retirement

Once a course is set to retire, this will happen automatically, or it must be retired from the learning management system where it is hosted. No credits will be awarded after the course expires.

REMINDER: All enduring training must remain accessible for six years from the date of release. If this training is selected for audit during the recredentialing period, part of the course review includes accessing the training as a learner would when it was active.

Course Renewal

If the course is deemed scientifically accurate and still significantly relevant, it may be renewed. The course director or designated contact must request the renewal by submitting the renewal questionnaire provided below prior to the module’s expiration.

While the training is still active, there may be requests for course revisions and then re-released with new or altered content.

Enduring Material Revisions

Revisions can be categorized into two types:

Minor Changes: The course contact or director can document the change by completing the appropriate questionnaire.

Major Changes: The original course must be retired, and a new course released.

To assist course contacts and directors in determining the necessary action, two specific questionnaires have been created:
