The Good, The Bad, and The Scary: Lessons Learned in Pediatric Otolaryngology
Pediatric Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery continues to evolve with new technologies, treatment options, and advanced scientific knowledge. The meeting will discuss an array of topics within the field of Pediatric Otolaryngology including airway, otology, head/neck pathology, technical considerations, healthcare reform and medicolegal cases.
This meeting will be an excellent opportunity to be updated on common and cutting-edge topics in pediatric ear, nose, and throat disorders. The course will provide panel discussions of controversial topics with experts in the field from throughout the country. It will also allow the audience to learn new and exciting approaches to the surgical and medical management of pediatric otolaryngology disorders.
Target Audience
Otolaryngologists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, family practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, residents, audiologists, speech therapists, and other interested health care professionals.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this course, participants should be able to:
1. Determine how to approach the diagnosis and management of pediatric hearing loss.
2. Learn how to assess the pediatric airway in a quantitative manner.
3. Learn how to approach challenging medicolegal scenarios.
4. Gain knowledge on current healthcare reform initiatives and physician reimbursement policies impacting Otolaryngology.
