Clinical Update on STIs: From Pathogens to Prevention
This one-hour, case-based lecture provides an up-to-date review of common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP). Participants will learn current screening guidelines, recent diagnostic and treatment updates—including resistance trends and newer pathogens like Mycoplasma genitalium—and best practices for managing treatment failures and partner care. The session will also cover syphilis recognition and management, including neuro and otic presentations, and clarify PrEP prescribing, monitoring, and integration into routine clinical care. Designed for frontline clinicians, this session offers practical, evidence-based insights for improving sexual health outcomes.
