  • Review presentation of vaccine preventable illness most likely to recur with reduced vaccination rates
  • Discuss management of vaccine preventable illnesses that are most likely to recur with reduced vaccination rates.
  • Provide tools to discuss vaccination with vaccine hesitant parents/caregivers.

The UPMC Pediatric Sepsis Collaborative and Digital Safety Net

  • Explain the goals and structure of the UPMC Pediatric Sepsis Collaborative in improving timely identification and treatment of sepsis.
  • Describe how the Digital Safety Net integrates clinical data and alerts to support sepsis recognition and response.
  • Discuss the outcomes and lessons learned from implementing a systemwide, collaborative approach to pediatric sepsis care.

Pediatric Liver Transplant Surgery

  • Outline common diseases treated by liver transplant in the pediatric population
  • Describe some technical aspects of pediatric liver transplant and other related procedures
  • Describe outcomes and challenges in this population
  • Outline the long-term care for children after liver transplantation
