Learning Objectives
The learner will be able to:
Explain resources that are available from the American Cancer Society.
Identify risk factors that may lead to the development of solid tumor malignancies.
Verbalize screening and surveillance guidelines for patients with solid tumor malignancies.
Examine testing and procedures used to diagnose and stage patients with solid tumor malignancies.
Recognize treatment options and supportive care measures to utilize for patients who are diagnosed with solid tumors.
Compare and contrast the varying forms of solid tumor malignancies and risk of occurrence.
Examine techniques to properly educate the oncologic patient who has been diagnosed with a solid tumor malignancy.
