This presentation will discuss the assessment and management of frostbite. A review of the orders set and management of a a patient with frost bite will be presented along with case studies.

RN's, Social workers and Case Managers

Learning Objectives

Identify and assess patients with frostbite to see if they meet criteria to receive TPA to increase blood flow to fingers and toes.

Discuss the assessment of a patient who received TPA for frostbite for complications and or successful opening of the finger and toes.
