CHP North January Education - Emergence Delirium

A CRNA will provide a 30-minute lecture to staff who care for post-operative pediatric patients on the care and management of post-operative emergence delirium.

1. Define post-operative delirium and list 2 common presentations/symptoms.
2. Explain how pre-operative preparation and patient/family education can reduce the risk of delirium and alleviate distress.
3. List 2 common treatments for post-operative delirium.
