Hospital Quality and the APP - 2026 APP Summit
This course provides an in‑depth overview of system quality initiatives, including the transition to Vizient benchmarking, the role of quality oversight improvement teams, and the importance of accurate provider documentation in driving risk‑adjusted performance outcomes. Participants will gain practical insights into hospital quality goals, documentation best practices, and the critical role APPs play in improving care quality and organizational performance.
Target Audience
This activity is intended for physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, and nurse anesthetists.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Apply UPMC’s system‑wide quality initiatives to evaluate and guide hospital performance.
- Describe the purpose and operational role of Quality Oversight Improvement (QOI) teams in supporting organizational quality goals.
