Cardiac Education Series: Arrhythmia Management

Self‑learning worksheet designed to provide practice with arrhythmia management in the pediatric cardiac population. Learners will complete a series of multi‑step questions related to identifying, assessing, and responding to arrhythmias in pediatric cardiac patients and will submit answers in a test format to receive credit for participation. Upon completion of the 4–5 page worksheet, staff will be required to review relevant policies, Lippincott guidance, and unit‑based resources to support accurate completion of the activity. Staff will have the opportunity to work with the educator to ask questions, review rhythm strips, and strengthen clinical decision‑making skills related to pediatric arrhythmia recognition and management. Nurses will submit answers via Microsoft Forms. A score of 100% is required to be eligible for CEU credit.

After completing this activity, the learner will be able to:

  •  identify signs and symptoms associated with common arrhythmias in the pediatric cardiac population and understand key considerations for appropriate intervention
  • identify at least one critical consideration related to the safe management of pediatric arrhythmias, such as monitoring parameters, medication precautions, or indicators of hemodynamic instability.
