Learning Objectives
Objectives: Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Discuss the impact of Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTIs)
- Discuss the indications of indwelling urinary catheters
- Explain the provider’s role to prevent CAUTIs
- Utilize appropriate urine culturing practices
- Discuss the indications to order C. diff testing
- Apply the 2-step C. diff algorithm
