Physician Resources: Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia: A Multidisciplinary Approach to Care

In this CME, Quyen Nguyen, MD, Natasha Robin Berman, MA, MS, MPH, CGC, and Adam Fish, MD, discuss how to identify the major clinical manifestations of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia (HHT), recognize the major causes of morbidity in HHT, and list basic diagnostic modalities used in assessing disease status in HHT. They also review Lung AVMs and additional screening and management features of HHT.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the major clinical manifestations of Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia.

  • Recognize the major causes of morbidity in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia.

  • Apply knowledge of basic diagnostic modalities used to assess disease status in Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia.

  • Evaluate the clinical presentation, diagnosis, and management considerations associated with pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (Lung AVMs).

  • Integrate appropriate screening strategies and management approaches for Hereditary Hemorrhagic Telangiectasia into clinical practice to optimize patient care.
