Comprehensive EEG & Epilepsy Course
You are cordially invited to our very first Comprehensive EEG & Epilepsy Course. This course given at the University of Pittsburgh Comprehensive Epilepsy Center is an intensive 2.5-day course designed to introduce core clinical epilepsy and EEG competency, as well as cutting edge pre-surgical evaluation techniques for medically refractory epilepsies. During this course a series of didactic lectures will be given to provide in depth coverage of various topics in epilepsy and EEG (e.g. classification, semiology, mimickers of epilepsy, normal variants, nonepileptic abnormalities, epileptic patterns, comatose EEGs, pharmacologic and surgical epilepsy treatment, etc.)
Target Audience
This course is intended for residents, fellows, attending physicians and local community physicians in all specialties who are interested in EEG and epilepsy. This course will also provide engaging case-based reviews and discussion of pre-surgical epilepsy evaluations.
Learning Objectives
The aim of this course is to improve core clinical epilepsy and EEG competency and to provide updates on cutting edge epilepsy surgical evaluations and treatment.
