Sepsis Education Series - Part 2: Fluid Resuscitation in Sepsis/Septic Shock
This is a one-hour live course presented on Teams. The content is specifically focused on best practices in fluid resuscitation for patients who have sepsis and those who have progressed to septic shock.
Target Audience
Nurses, physicians and pharmacists comprise the target audience. But other members of the healthcare team are always welcome, and will be eligible for an attendance certificate.
Learning Objectives
1. Discuss clinical decision making re: characteristics of IV fluids and their use in the initial management of sepsis/septic shock.
2. Describe the guidelines for initial fluid resuscitation from the Surviving Sepsis Campaign
