MedEd Faculty Development Program: Curriculum Development in Medical Education Session 1 9.2.21

This exciting new program features 4-week, small-enrollment, online “mini-courses” focused on timely topics in medical education. Participants will gain critical knowledge and skills, hands-on practice, expert feedback, and the opportunity to network with colleagues. 

 

Target Audience

Physicians

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the 6 essential steps to curriculum development in medical education and describe the importance of each. 
  • Identify the key characteristics of your potential learners and learning environment for exploration with a targeted needs assessment, and list at least 2 potential strategies for performing this assessment. 
  • List the five essential elements of specific and measurable learning objectives, and write at least 3 objectives (knowledge-based, skill-based, and/or attitudinal) for your curriculum.
