This session will provide an introduction to equitably including communities whose primary language is not English into research. Inclusion of non-English speaking communities is essential to promoting health equity and ensuring that our work centers the perspectives of the growing immigrant and non-English speaking communities in Pittsburgh. Objectives of this RCR include: 1) understanding the inclusion of non-English speaking communities into clinical and translational research, from a health equity and anti-racist perspective; 2) reviewing best practices for translations; and 3) building bilingual and bicultural research teams.
