CPN REVIEW COURSE 04/20/2022
CPN certified nurses support the mission, vision, values and professional nursing practice model at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Nursing competence and patient safety outcomes are higher in magnet hospital where 75% of nurse obtain and maintain a practice-specific certification.
In order to claim your credits, you must watch all of the recorded videos and attend the 2-hour instructor led portion of the course. Afterwards, you must complete the evaluation in order to claim your credits.

After attending this event:
- The learner will verbalize the purpose and breakdown of the CPN exam.
- The learner will discuss pediatric health promotion strategies
- The learner will review pediatric physical and psycho-social assessment for acute and chronic patients
- The learner will verbalize 3 disease specific intervention for the following priority conditions: Respiratory, Electrolytes/Acid & Bases.
- The learner will verbalize 3 disease specific intervention for the following priority condition: Gastroenterology.
- The learner will verbalize 3 disease specific intervention for the following priority condition: Infectious Disease.
- The learner will verbalize 3 disease specific intervention for the following priority condition: Hematology/Oncology.
- The learner will verbalize 3 disease specific intervention for the following priority condition: Neurology.
- The learner will verbalize 3 disease specific intervention for the following priority condition: Cardiology
