Learning Objectives

The learner will be able to:

  1. Recall strategies to assess patients for symptoms of oncologic emergencies.
  2. Recognize the diagnostic workup for oncologic emergencies.
  3. Identify interventions to treat or manage the side effects of patients with oncologic emergencies.
  4. Identify the similarities and differences between palliative care and hospice care.
  5. Demonstrate learning has occurred by receiving at least an 85% on knowledge assessment.
