Elevated intracranial pressure is a life-threatening medical emergency that can result in significant morbidity and mortality. Hyperosmolar agents may be used to acutely decrease intracranial pressure. The goal of this presentation is to compare and contrast the use of mannitol and hypertonic saline for the treatment of elevated intracranial pressure.
