ACCME Reporting to Specialty Boards and State Medical Licensing Boards

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) collaborates with participating certifying boards and state medical licensing boards to report physicians’ CME credit. ACCME’s goal is to reduce burdens on physicians and simplify the audit process for boards. ACCME offers this service free of charge.

As part of this initiative, the UPMC Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences (CCEHS) is being asked to report your CME credits earned, when appropriate, to the ACCME CME Passport, a free ACCME service reporting credits to participating state licensing boards or ABMS certifying boards (MOC credit).

At this time, Pennsylvania is not a participating state in this collaboration. For additional information and a current list of participating specialty boards and state medical licensing boards, please visit the ACCME information page.

How to Participate

To participate, you must opt in by entering your state medical licensing board information and ABMS board ID (if board certified) in your UPMC CCEHS Learner Profile.

Viewing Reported Credit

You can review the status of credit reported through this program at any time by accessing the Reported Credit tab within your UPMC CCEHS learner account.

Please note that the credits displayed on the Reported Credit tab reflect only those reported through ACCME and may not represent all CME credit you have earned. Your official CME transcript and certificates remain available under My Activities within your CCEHS account.
