11th Annual Neonatal and Pediatric ECLS Educational Conference
The UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh 11th Annual Neonatal and Pediatric ECLS Educational Conference is a 2.5-day course designed to provide a didactic and “hands-on” based education in an interactive multidisciplinary format for health care providers who care for patients receiving extracorporeal support.
The 11th Annual Neonatal and Pediatric ECLS Educational Conference at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a conference dedicated to providing educational opportunities for clinicians who care for children requiring ECLS. The two-day event includes lectures from experts, case presentations, panel discussions, and one-of-a-kind ECLS simulation sessions. The conference will provide clinicians of all levels an opportunity to enhance their knowledge of managing neonatal and pediatric patients requiring ECLS.

Learning Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, participants should be able to:
- Recognize the benefit of a multi- disciplinary approach to managing ECMO patients
- Discuss neurodevelopmental outcomes and follow-up care for pediatric ECMO patients
- Understand the varying cannulation strategies for VA versus VV ECMO
- Recognize and manage ECMO emergencies
- Discuss indications for ECPR
- Understand different strategies for patient management on ECMO
- Discuss anticoagulation management for pediatric ECMO patients
