Facilitator Training for Nurse and NA/PCT Residency at UPMC_Online
The asynchronous course is intended to support training facilitators in effectively leading and managing group discussions surrounding topics presented during residency. The goal of this education is to help new facilitators understand how to become effective facilitators of Clinical Reflections for residency programs..
Target Audience
This training is designed to educate nurses, nurse practitioners, and other health care providers.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
- Verbalize the importance of reflective practice for graduate nurses and staff new to working in healthcare roles.
- Identify the role a facilitator can have in the employee's transition to practice.
- List three barriers to an effective group dynamic and subsequently list one approach to overcoming those barriers.
