
Medical Staff Leader Orientation & Toolkit_Enduring
The Medical Staff Leader Orientation & Toolkit virtual seminar equips healthcare leaders with essential strategies to navigate complex leadership, credentialing, and peer review challenges. Participants will gain practical tools and policies to identify and manage conflicts of interest, ensuring effective collaboration across the interprofessional team.
Target Audience
This CME activity is designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, physicians, physician assistants, and psychologists to strengthen their ability to manage leadership responsibilities, credentialing processes, and peer review challenges while effectively addressing conflicts of interest within the medical staff environment.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this audio conference, participants will be able to:
- Define and understand the legal responsibilities of medical staff leaders, particularly with respect to credentialing, privileging, and peer review.
- Identify legal issues that affect credentialing and define the benefits of having policies and procedures to address problem practitioners.
- Identify best practices for the Medical Staff and Advanced Practice Professional peer review process.
- Identify legal issues that affect peer review and learn how to effectively manage those legal issues.
