Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Training for Healthcare Professionals
This self-paced course is an interprofessional, competency-based training program designed to educate both students and practicing clinicians about Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) and devices. In almost all patient care settings, clinicians work with patients wearing CGMs or patients interested in starting a CGM to better manage their health. We welcome all learners from all health disciplines to engage with this training program and to discover the power of CGM data. Unique to this training program, you, as the learner, will have an opportunity to personalize your learning by ordering an over-the-counter (OTC) CGM device and wearing it throughout the 5 content-focused learning modules.
Target Audience
This online activity is designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physicians, physician assistants, psychologists, and social workers involved in patient care and/or medication management.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate the role of continuous glucose monitors (CGMs) in the contemporary management of health and wellness for patients with and without diabetes.
- Apply best practices to demonstrate competency in the use of CGMs, including both prescription (Rx) and over-the-counter (OTC) devices, across diverse patient populations.
