2024 Three Rivers Otolaryngology Update

The field of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery continues to evolve with new technologies, treatment options and advanced scientific knowledge. The meeting will discuss an array of topics in the field of Otolaryngology, with a special focus on Otology/Neurotology, Laryngology, and Head and Neck Surgery. In addition to discussing “cutting edge” topics within these areas of Otolaryngology, this meeting will focus on practical applications of everyday otolaryngologic care from the above-mentioned sub-specialties within Otolaryngology as well as practical lessons in navigating health-care changes and improving gender equity within our field.

Target Audience

Otolaryngologists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, family practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, residents, audiologists, speech therapists and other interested health care professionals.

Learning Objectives

- Pediatric Otolaryngology: - To understand the recent literature pertaining to pediatric otolaryngology to improve patient care and clinical outcomes 
- Head and Neck Reconstructive Surgery: - To broaden the knowledge base of recent clinical trials and innovations in head and neck reconstructive surgery in order to improve the multi-disciplinary care of head and neck cancer patients 
- Rhinology: - To evaluate the depth of coverage for rhinologic conditions, including allergic rhinitis, chronic sinusitis and nasal polyposis 
- Sleep Surgery: - To understand recent scientific advances in sleep surgery, including hypoglossal nerve stimulator therapy and other sleep related surgical innovations

$250 Physicians, Nurses, and all other health care professionals.
Tuition fee is waived for all Alumni Members, CENTS Members, residents, fellows, and medical students but registration is still required. To receive a coupon code to waive the registration fee, please contact Amanda Pippi via email at hickeyab2@upmc.edu.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be in writing and sent to us via U.S. mail, e-mail or fax.  Tuition for cancellations postmarked or date stamped before February 23, 2024, will be completely refunded.  From February 23-March 1, 2023, a $50.00 administrative fee will be assessed.  No refunds will be made after March 1, 2024.  “No shows” are not eligible for refunds.

The UPMC/Center for Continuing Education in the Health Sciences reserves the right to cancel this program if sufficient registrations are not received.  In the case of cancellation, the department will fully refund registration fees.
