2025 Research Day

This activity is designed to provide medical interns, residents, fellows and nurses with information necessary to take steps to begin a research or quality improvement project in UPMC of Central PA. It will include searching for and identifying reputable evidence-based literature, basic information regarding matching statistical tests to research questions, critical evaluation of literature, and the process for submitting to and obtaining approval from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Quality Review Committee (QRC).

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will be able to utilize available resources to produce a research or QI protocol.

Upon completion of this activity, the participant will submit a research or QI protocol to the UPMC of Central PA IRB or UPMC QRC for consideration within 1 year.
