Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
Identify current immunization priorities, vaccine-preventable disease risks, and evolving vaccine recommendations relevant to patient care and public health.
Analyze how patient concerns, trust, risk perception, and information sources influence vaccine decision-making and conversations.
Describe evidence-based strategies for addressing vaccine access, equity, and implementation barriers across clinical, pharmacy, public health, and community settings.
Recognize opportunities for members of the interprofessional healthcare team to improve vaccine communication, access, and delivery for diverse patient populations.
Course summary
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the University of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County Immunization Coalition and Allegheny County Medical Society. The University of Pittsburgh is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
