22nd Annual Pittsburgh Vascular Symposium – “Comprehensive Vascular Care”
The 22nd annual Pittsburgh Vascular Symposium will provide evaluation and critique of the current standards of care and future directions in the treatment of the vascular patient with respect to medical management, endovascular, and open therapies. Focusing on both evidence-based medicine, as well as new innovations, the symposium is designed for primary care providers, cardiologists, interventionalists, and vascular surgeons caring for patients with arterial and venous disease in academic and community settings.
Target Audience
This course is designed for primary care providers, cardiologists, interventionalists, vascular surgeons, and other interested healthcare professionals who provide primary care services.
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of the program, attendees should be able to:
• Explain the current standards of care for aortic and peripheral artery disease processes
• Identify and distinguish the various aspects of a modern vascular medical and surgical practice
• Recognize implications of a new era in health care delivery related to vascular pathology
• Delineate the optimal treatment strategies for patients with extremity arterial diseases, aortic aneurysms, thoracic aortic diseases and dissection, carotid artery stenosis, and varicose veins
• Discuss in detail multiple areas of cardiovascular medicine
• Draw informed clinical decisions in cardiovascular medicine
• Forecast and discuss important issues and trends in cardiovascular medicine
• Assess health locally and regionally by evaluating the quality of medical care and disease prevention.

Cancellation — All cancellations must be in writing, via email or fax. Tuition for cancellations on or before April 30, 2025, will be completely refunded. The UPMC Center for Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel this program if sufficient registrations are not received. In the case of cancellation, the department will fully refund registration fees.
