RN Educator Grand Rounds: Shingles

Learning Objectives

• Discuss Varicella and shingles infections and disseminated shingles.
• Identify isolation required for both immunocompetent and immunocompromised patients and when isolation can be discontinued.
• Recall exposure factors and the follow up of and who would be at risk for transmission.
