WLA - Shared Decision Making Skills Course for Providers
Target Audience
This course is designed for Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, Physician, Physician Assistant and Social Workers.
Learning Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Identify opportunities to engage patients in shared decision making
- Explain the importance of discussing all treatment options and the risks and benefits of each during a shared decision-making conversation
- Elicit patient goals and concerns around the patients’ testing and treatments options during a shared decision-making conversation
