Target Audience

This course is designed for Nurses, Nurse Practitioner, Pharmacist, Physician, Physician Assistant and Social Workers.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Identify opportunities to engage patients in shared decision making
  • Explain the importance of discussing all treatment options and the risks and benefits of each during a shared decision-making conversation
  • Elicit patient goals and concerns around the patients’ testing and treatments options during a shared decision-making conversation
