48th Annual Magee-Womens Alumni Day
For this year’s Magee Alumni Day program, we have an exciting line-up of speakers consisting of past and current faculty and former residents. The program will feature updates on clinical care over the entire age spectrum of our patients. We expect the program to present topics that pose challenging clinical, technical, ethical, and financial issues that today’s OB/GYN often faces, whether in prac-tice or in an academic career. The program features endowed lectures – the Cohen, McCall, OB/GYN Legacy, Katz Minimally Invasive Surgery, the Alan Kunschner Memorial and Dr. Steve N. Caritis lectures.
Target Audience
This program is focused on health care practitioners in obstetrics and gynecology as well as in other primary care specialties.
Learning Objectives
Review pelvic sidewall anatomy as it relates to accomplishing difficult cases.
To understand the predictive and diagnostic capabilities of Placental Growth Factor and Soluble Flt-1 for preeclampsia and other pla-cental syndromes, and to anticipate their introduction into US clinical practice.
Review twin gestation and complications that may occur from sharing a placenta.
Understand aspects of gynecologic care in the pediatric/adolescent oncology patient, including fertility counseling, menstrual man-agement, and post-treatment endocrine function.
The lecture will expand the fund of knowledge of the HPV virus by examining the history of cervical cancer prevention.
