Consortium Ethics: Who gets to decide what’s next? A review of Shared Decision Making in Health Care
This course will enhance healthcare professionals’ understanding of the legal, ethical, and clinical foundations of Shared Decision Making (SDM) and to strengthen their ability to apply evidence-based communication strategies and clinical tools in practice. By examining the historical evolution of healthcare decision-making and clarifying the principles and processes of SDM, this session aims to support clinicians in fostering collaborative, patient-centered care that aligns medical expertise with patient values, preferences, and goals.
