MI Skills Building: Applying Four Processes of MI to Engaging Members in Referrals
The Applying the Four Processes of Motivational Interviewing to Engage Members in Referrals training will support clinicians in outreach and referrals of all types.
The course will provide learners with a high-level review of the four processes of Motivational Interviewing and how to engage members in conversations about the benefits of change.
There will be both demonstration and practice through case study applicable to learner’s settings.

- Discuss strategies used in each of the phases of MI: Engaging, focusing, evoking, and planning
- Apply MI skills & strategies to engage members in a variety of case management and health management referrals
