Advances in Brain Injury Research: Transforming Lives Through Better Science
The conference will focus on advances in science related to brain injury, including concussion, TBI and spinal cord injury, as well as overall brain health. The objective is to accelerate the field’s evolution through the dissemination and implementation of evidence-based advances that can be applied to enhance clinical care and public health. Topics include concussion clinical profiles, brain injury and women's health, the effects of sports on brain health, novel markers of brain injury, and emerging findings on repetitive mild TBI, and spinal cord stimulation.

Learning Objectives
1. Describe comprehensive, multidomain assessment approach to concussion including symptoms, cognitive, vestibular, oculomotor, and emerging neuroimaging and fluid markers.
2. Apply concussion clinical profiles including anxiety/mood, cognitive-fatigue, migraine, ocular, vestibular to better conceptualize patients with concussion.
3. Analyze the evidence for emerging approaches to concussion clinical care.
4. Discuss the effects of concussion on women's reproductive and psychological health from a neurobiological perspective.
5. Describe emerging research findings regarding brain health including biomarker, neuroimaging, and pathology findings.
