
Articular Cartilage: From Preservation to Total Hip Replacement
This course is intended to educate physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists, physical therapy assistants, and athletic trainers on the role and treatment of articular cartilage from early hip preservation to the point of total hip replacement.
Learning Objectives
-Know the current research on treatment of articular cartilage conditions
-Understand the roles of physicians, PAs, PTs, ATs, in diagnosing and treating articular cartilage conditions
-Know the conservative and surgical options for articular cartilage conditions
-Understand return to activity/sport considerations for specific patient populations including following total hip replacement
-Understand the kinematic chain for hip treatment in hip articular cartilage conditions
