Baptist/UPMC ECMO Bootcamp
UPMC Procirca is traveling to the Baptist Hospital of Miami to provide a high-fidelity ECMO simulation course. The course will cover multiple ECMO complication scenarios to help learners troubleshoot high risk-low frequency ECMO complications in a realistic simulation environment.

• Understand basic principles of ECLS
• Have a foundational understanding of the function of the components of the ECLS circuit
• Understand concerns of managing patients on ECLS
• Describe complications that may occur while on ECLS support
• Understand the cannulation, weaning and decannulation of the ECLS patient
• Respond to the most common ECLS emergencies
• Demonstrate ECLS knowledge in high fidelity simulation scenarios
