Learning Objectives

Learners will be able to explain what bariatric surgeries are performed at UPMC and how each surgery differs from one another.

Learners will be able to discuss and implement the appropriate post-operative care for bariatric surgery patients. Will able to discuss importance of mobility, pain management techniques, possible complications, and dietary restrictions related to each bariatric surgery.
