2nd Annual Cancer Rehabilitation Conference
As cancer survival rates are on the rise, survivors are advocating for improved quality of life both during treat-ment and after treatment ends. In addition, research is showing that therapy and physical medicine and reha-bilitation interventions are beneficial and safe for patients with cancer. This course will aim to outline the gaps in care and raise awareness for the importance of cancer rehabilitation for all healthcare professionals includ-ing physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses and therapists. The course will also have two discussion-based tracts in the afternoon, one with a clinical focus aiming to improve clinician's comfort level with treating a patient who has or had a cancer diagnosis as well as and administrative tract which will focus on system cancer rehab program development.
