This program will review a detailed muscular and neurovascular assessment of fractures that will help the nurse identify potential complications.

Learning Objectives

  1. After viewing this video, nurses will be able to provide a detailed muscular and neurovascular assessment.
  2. After viewing this video, the nurse will be able to identify complications (including compartment syndrome, infection, VT) associated with fracture.
  3. After viewing this video, the nurse will be able to provide discharge instructions to patient and or family including pain management, cast care and follow-up instructions.
  4. After viewing this video, the ED nurse will be able to provide assistive device training in anticipation for discharge.
