Accurate OASIS assessment completion is essential to Home Care. The Outcomes Assessment Information set is used by CMS to determine patient outcomes, risk adjustment, potentially avoidable events, value based purchasing and reimbursement. This course is designed to provide the learner with the necessary knowledge to complete an accurate data collection at start of care, resumption or care, recertification, transfer, discharge and death at home.

Discuss CMS rules, conventions and assessment strategies for completing OASIS assessment items. 
Complete accurate OASIS ADL scoring of video scenarios. 
Demonstrate an understanding of OASIS items through completion of case scenarios. 
Discuss impact of OASIS assessment on patient outcomes, reimbursement, potentially avoidable events, and risk adjustment.
