Please join us for our next Medicine Grand Rounds featuring our guest speaker, Karen E. Lasser, MD, MPH, from Boston University Schools of Medicine and Public Health.

This presentation will discuss how JAMA evaluates manuscript submissions, as well as how to write a letter to the editor and "Clinical Challenges."

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Describe the process by which manuscripts are evaluated at JAMA.
  • Construct and submit a well-organized letter to the editor appropriate for a peer-reviewed medical journal in their own professional practice. 
  • Develop a clinical challenge case suitable for presentation in a medical journal format.
