Learning Objectives

Following the presentation the learner will be able to:

1. Discuss screening guidelines and patient selection for procedures in an ambulatory GI facility.

2. Discuss decision making protocols for emergency care and transport of patients who present with a change in health status on the day of procedure.

3. Review the CRNA’s role throughout the entire anesthetic (including pre-procedure evaluation through recovery).
