3/5/2026 Anesthesiology Journal Club - Ketamine or Etomidate for Tracheal Intubation of Critically Ill Adults

This journal club reviews the current evidence comparing etomidate and ketamine as induction agents for emergency intubation in critically ill adults, with a focus on hemodynamic effects, adrenal suppression, and mortality outcomes. Participants will examine key randomized trials and meta-analyses to better inform evidence-based induction agent selection in non-trauma ICU and ED patients.
