This online CME activity reviews the evolving landscape of office-based anesthesia (OBA), including its rapid growth, expanding procedural scope, and key patient safety challenges related to increasing case complexity, limited regulation, and adverse event risk. It highlights current safety initiatives, research findings, and evidence-based strategies—including emergency preparedness and collaborative care models—to improve outcomes and support safe, high-quality office-based surgical practice.
