The one hour presentation  will describe the roles of individuals taking care of patients  with head and neck cancer using a multi disciplinary  approach.

Healthcare employees working in radiation oncology or caring for patients being treated by radiation oncology departments

Learning Objectives

Identify the sites that encompass the diagnosis of head and neck cancer  

Explain the role of the nurse navigator caring for head and neck cancer patients 

Identify resources for management of common side effects related to chemotherapy and radiation treatment. 

Identify two common chemotherapy agents used in concurrent chemotherapy and radiation for head and neck cancer. 

Recall three side effects and the management of the side effects of radiation therapy for the patient with head and neck cancer 

Explain the role and responsibilities of the radiation therapist of caring for the patient with head and neck cancer 

Identify three responsibilities of the medical dosimetrist caring for the patient with head and neck cancer
