- Describe the types of HPCT and HPC sources and indications for HPCT
- Describe the history of HPCT
- Describe the indication and usage of mesenchymal cells
- List indications for HPCT and best explain the indications to patients and families
- Describe hematopoetic progenitor cells sources
- Describe advances in new therapies with dendritic cell and immune therapies
- Define human leukocyte antigen (HLA)
- Describe genetic inheritance of HLA and better understand HLA typing
- Describe the process of donor identification and selection for allogenic marrow, peripheral blood stem cell (PBSC), and cord blood transplant
- Identify specimens used for HLA typing
- Discuss the purpose of pre-transplant evaluation for HPCT patients
- Describe the components of a patient evaluation for potential HPCT to patient and families
- Describe the HPC donor evaluation process
- Identify safety issues in pediatric apheresis and when to involve the professional practice team for additional support
